Extent and Type of Work Performed
What are the challenges in transforming a 1977 office building that once held 5,000 workers into a functional and safe high school designed to hold 2,400 students?
Camacho was tasked with designing a cafeteria capable of serving a student body of over 1,200 students in the middle of an 11-story corporate office building. The 500,000+ SF campus was converted from an existing IBM corporate campus and adapted for educational use. The cafeteria serving area consists of multiple food concepts for the students with a wide range of selections including international options, a grill, chef’s choice, and even smoothies. The student dining area offers more than just exciting food choices, seating in the cafeteria features views of the Atlanta skyline and surrounding area overlooking a spring-fed lake.
