Camacho provided foodservice design services for Fulton County in Atlanta, Georgia. At 10,000 SF of dining space, this facility securely and efficiently serves tenants under stringent protocol.

Camacho worked with the Fulton County Detention Center to enable their mission— to safely and humanely house incarcerated offenders, protect the public, protect the institution and protect the inmates.
New Dining Infrastructure
Preparation areas are designed so that individual spaces can be secured. This kitchen design will allow for expansion based on increased inmate population in the future. The preparation areas, vegetable, bakery and meat where designed as individually secured rooms.
Mixed-use Hospitality Areas
Modular design allows the staff to lock the rooms when they are not in use. By securing the separate prep rooms the staff have one less area or space to worry about the inmate workers congregating in areas where they should not allowed.

Efficient and Resilient
The project was designed to operate as a modified cook-chill facility. Food is prepared during a five-day work week with a supervised inmate staff. The meals served on the weekend are previously prepared during the week and re-thermalized for the weekend. This type of meal preparation allows for a skeleton crew only on the weekends.
The dining rooms are bright, open and comfortable, enabling you and your caregivers and/or family members to enjoy meals together.
